Kettlebelling is the exercise system that provides the real strength and the real results you have always wanted.

What is Kettlebelling?

Teaching 1

Kettlebelling is a system of fitness training developed over 300 years ago in Russia.

The Kettlebells themselves look like cannonballs with handles and when exercising with them you either swing, lift or hold them in and around your body.

It has been used as one of the main fitness tools used in training the Russian army for many years, achieving so many good results that it has been adopted by Military and Special Forces the world over.

It has also gained a strong following among celebrities and athletes. Its fans include Penelope Cruz, J-Lo, Matthew McConaughey, Sylvester Stallone, Madonna, Tiger Woods and Lance Armstrong. Furthermore the cast of the film “300” used them to develop their Spartan Warrior physique.

Why it is so good for you

Kettlebelling is an exercise system that is both a Cardio and Resistance workout all rolled into one. It creates an iron hard core by forcing the body to manage the acceleration and deceleration of the Kettlebell. Furthermore it is an amazing tool for toning and burning fat. Simply said; Kettlebelling is an extremely efficient and fun way to achieve a complete workout.

Unlike most traditional free weight exercises Kettlebelling looks to strengthen muscles working together as a unit rather than in isolation. When we move and perform muscular actions our bodies rarely use just one muscle; rather it is a chain of muscles working together. If muscles are trained in isolation, this can be to the detriment of the others in this “chain” as one link will be stronger than others. This can create muscular imbalance and false strength (or injury) as a chain is only a strong as its weakest link. Kettlebelling exercises look to exercise these muscular “chains” more naturally and together. This means that the muscles have been strengthened together and in the appropriate ratios. This will lead to well rounded, real strength that is well balanced and less prone to injury.

Kettlebelling produces long, lean muscles rather than the short and bulky muscles associated with traditional free weights. This is because exercise works the muscles through a full range of movement with a relatively light weight. The focus or exercise through large range of movement also has the benefit of improving flexibility.
